Age Group: 4 to 5 Years of Age
Dates & Almonds
Children at this age are attracted to books with longer texts and a more sophisticated vocabulary. Stories may contain an element of suspense, and humor often makes an appearance. Most books in this group continue to have neat resolutions and 'happily-ever-after' endings.
The children absolutely love them and beg me to read the books to them (over and over).
