THE JEWISH FEDERATION OF GREATER PORTLAND, which houses The PJ Library in the area, is dedicated to assuring the building and strengthening of the Jewish community locally, nationally, overseas, and in Israel in accordance with Jewish values. The Jewish Federation helps support a thriving Jewish community that includes a vibrant and recently-renovated Jewish Community Center, Portland Jewish Academy, Maimonides Jewish Day School, and other centers of Jewish learning, the Jewish Review community newspaper, and numerous congregations.
