About Our Community
The United Jewish Federation of Greater Stamford, New Canaan and Darien welcomes young families and their wonderful children to be involved in the rich life of our Jewish community. Our mission is to provide philanthropic, educational, social welfare, health and recreational programs and services to Jews in our community, nationally, in Israel and in 60 countries around the world. We firmly believe that children benefit immensely by being exposed to Jewish values and traditions at home with loving parents starting at the earliest ages. Our hope is that with The PJ (Pajama) Library program that we are helping to provide warm moments for parents to share with their children while helping to build the Jewish leaders of tomorrow!
Local PJ Partner
Thank you to Linda and Ed Spilka who have collaborated with the United Jewish Federation of Greater Stamford to make The PJ Library program possible in Stamford. Linda and Ed Spilka are leaders of our Jewish community who by their generosity and caring have helped to make a difference in the lives of Jews at home and all over the world. Ed is a past President of UJF and Linda is the Chair of our Lion of Judah Endowment Campaign. They are the parents of three wonderful children and are very cognizant of how reading to and with your children is a major source of pleasure and learning.
